Coming Out Stories by the Campfire

Campfire and marshmallows
This Pride, celebrate National Coming Out Day by the campfire with @Rolanda_show

Did you know October 11th is National Coming Out Day? All over the country, Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) individuals will gather to recognize and celebrate the journey of declaring their sexual orientation or gender identity to the people in their world. The first National Coming Out Day was celebrated on October 11, 1988, in Washington, D.C. and even though it’s been over 30 years since the first coming out day, sharing coming out stories still matters today.

This Pride, celebrate National Coming Out Day by the campfire with @Rolanda_show. Listen to her story and hear other powerful coming out stories told by LGBTQ+ Christians. Bring your lawn chairs, snacks and the s'mores will be on @newcovenantatl

The theme: Coming Out Still Matters.

Join me, October 11 at 7:00 p.m. at New Covenant Church of Atlanta. Register here.

Rolanda has done an amazing job of pulling together her neighbors to form CHNA, and they were directly involved in leading the efforts to bring pedestrian safety to Hollowell.

Rolanda has been a great leader and advocates on behalf of the Center Hill Neighborhood Association. I have worked with her on a few projects and always look forward to doing so because of her creativity, marketing skills, and passion for improving the community.

Working alongside Rolanda at Georgia Tech for nearly two years, I have watched her grow in her craft. She is a visionary and a catalyst in her community. She brings that same energy of wanting future growth and fostering creativity into her profession.
