Coming to the Realization of Sexuality While in a Church Service

Georgia Tech’s Institute Diversity unveiled the 2nd installation of personal stories via its Transformative Narratives initiative, a web-based, digital library of powerful personal narratives that showcase the rich tapestry of diversity among Tech’s staff, faculty and students.

Rolanda's personal story entitled, “Just Being Honest” was showcased this summer during a “Story Listening Party” held on the campus of Georgia Tech. Listen to “Just Being Honest” by Rolanda Powell as she shares coming to a realization about her sexuality while in a church service, Rolanda recounts transitions in her relationship with her immediate family.
